Welcome to Malik’s Legacy Closet
Created in loving memory of Malik, our mission is to support young men in need by providing clothing, books, school supplies, and essential resources. Through community partnerships, donations, and outreach, we also give back to schools through book drives and educational support.

Our Mission
Malik’s Legacy Closet is dedicated to honoring Malik’s legacy by supporting young men in need in boys’ homes, group homes, shelters, and underserved communities. We provide clothing, books, school supplies, educational resources, and other essential items to help young men feel seen, valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their goals.
We also give back to schools by donating books and educational resources that promote learning and personal growth. Through donations, volunteers, partnerships, and community outreach, we turn Malik’s legacy into a lasting commitment to love, education, service, and giving back.
How We Give Back
We give back by providing support and resources to young men in need and local schools.
👕 Clothing Donations
We provide new and gently used clothing to young men in boys’ homes, group homes, shelters, and underserved communities.
📚 Book Donations & Book Drives
We collect new and gently used books through community book drives and donate them to schools and students to encourage reading, learning, and personal growth.
🎒 School Support
We provide school supplies and educational resources to help students have the tools they need to succeed.
🤝 Community Outreach
We work with schools, shelters, group homes, businesses, volunteers, and community partners to identify needs and provide meaningful support.

HIS LEGACY
Malik graduated from high school in 2019 and began working at Detroit Diesel in 2020. He was a young man with dreams for his future and had enrolled in the Criminal Justice program at Ferris State University, planning to begin in January 2023.
Tragically, Malik lost his life in a motorcycle accident before he could begin that next chapter. Malik’s Legacy Closet was created to honor his life, his dreams, and his legacy through love, education, service, and giving back to others.
